Ceiling Fan Replacement and Light Fixture Changes
Swapping a ceiling fan or light fixture is one of the most requested jobs at The Helpful Handyman. Whether you're replacing a wobbly old fan, updating builder-grade fixtures throughout the house or hanging a fan in a room with a tall ceiling, we get it done safely and cleanly.
Serving Tomball, The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Magnolia, Cypress, Hockley and Montgomery. Text a photo of the room and the new fixture to 832-417-3283.
What We Install and Replace
- Ceiling fans — replacing old or noisy fans, or putting a fan in place of an existing light
- Light fixtures — flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers, vanity lights and exterior porch lights
- High and vaulted ceilings — tall entries and living rooms that are hard to reach yourself
- Whole-house updates — changing out multiple fixtures in one visit
How We Work
- We confirm the electrical box is rated to support a ceiling fan before hanging one.
- We work with your existing wiring and boxes. If a job needs a new circuit or new wiring run, we'll let you know it calls for a licensed electrician.
- If removing an old fixture leaves a gap, a hole or an unpainted footprint on the ceiling, we can patch, texture and paint it so it looks clean — something most installers can't do.
- We haul away the old fixture and clean up before we leave.
"Josh, of The Helpful Handyman, was involved in repairing and painting water damaged drywall in a closet, and then replacing a fan in a high-ceilinged room on his own. I was very impressed with his skill, work ethic and for taking care that he worked safely and neatly."
